Elizabeth Melde Benefit Rally

In September of 2011, Elizabeth Melde was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.

Sadly, Elizabeth lost her battle with cancer this past April.

Please join us on June 9th, 2012 as we ride in memory of Elizabeth and to help Matt Melde. We will begin at Rod’s Ride-On Power Sports in La Crosse and loop through the scenic Coulee Region of Wisconsin, cross into Iowa, and end at LIZFEST, at Veterans Park in La Crescent, Minnesota.

There will be Live music from “At Large”, food and beverages, drawings/raffles and much more!

Registration is $25 ahead of time, and $30 the day of the rally. The ride goes rain or shine.

Register online or at Rod’s Ride-On Power Sports, before or on the day of the rally. On June 9th registration begins at 8:30am and the ride starts at 10am.

Jason Gray (Chong) Memorial

Our dear friend, Chong(Jason Gray), passed away recently.

There will be a memorial for Chong this Saturday from 1-5pm at the Pettibone Park Lagoon Shelter.

All who knew and loved Jason are encouraged to attend.

The Blue Moon restaura is hosting a benefit for Rick Schaaf this Saturday, May 26th from 11am-6pm.

Rick was recently injured in a motorcycle accident and is self employed. There will be food, a silent auction, raffles and more!

Benefit for Matthew Lessard Jr.

Matthew Lessard is 4 years old and has lots of medical needs. He was staying at the Birka house which is a home for critically ill children. Unfortunately, on April 3rd the home started on fire and the children lost EVERYTHING, including their medical supplies.

There will be a benefit for Matthew on May 19th at the Baus Haus, 1920 Ward Ave. in La Crosse.

There will be free food and beer while it lasts, and a cash bar

Inaugural Sloopy’s Golf Outing for Autism

Monday, May 14th at Fox Hollow Golf Course in Barre Mills, May 14, it’s the Inaugural Sloopy’s Golf Outing for Autism!

According to 2011 statistics, 1 child in 91 has autism. Sloopys along with SNAP Fitness Bluffside & Winona wants to help the La Crosse Area kids and their families who are affected by Autism.

Cost is $75 per golfer or $300 for a foursome. It is a 4-person best ball scramble with an 11am shotgun start. There will both men’s and women’s events on the course. Hole Sponsorships are $100, which includes your logo on a sign on the course.

There will be raffles, door prizes and the price will include a bbq lunch after golf.

Casey Davis Benefit

This past September, Casey was cutting down trees at work when he was suddenly pinned between his chainsaw and a fallen tree. Casey was rushed to the hospital by helicopter and narrowly survived the ordeal. However, Casey is now paralyzed from the waist down.

He spent three months at a rehab center in Colorado and returned in home just before Christmas. There will be a benefit for Casey on Saturday, May 5th at the City Brewery Hospitality Center from 4pm - 8pm.

Cheryl Golish Benefit

In response to a devastating house fire that destroyed her home on February 24th, 2012, there will be a benefit to help Cheryl (Beeman) Golish and her two children (Emily and Austin) rebuild their lives.

The benefit is being held on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at the Jefferson’s Riverside Room at 58 Center Street in Winona, MN.

There will be having a Spaghetti Buffet Dinner, Silent Auction, Bake Sale, Door Prizes and an evening of fun and entertainment.

Admission is $15 for Adults and $8 for children(12 and under) and includes dinner, entertainment and entry for door prizes.

Lori Obert Cancer Benefit

Lori Obert has been battling breast cancer since 2006. Since then, she has had multiple surgeries to remove tumors, and then cancer has spread to her liver and brain.

Lori is 37 and lives in Genoa with her husband and five kids.

There will be a benefit for Lori on Saturday, May 5th at the Retreat Sportsman Club in Retreat, WI. The benefit will start at 3pm and will include a steak fry, a silent auction, door prizes, a Chinese raffle, a meat raffle, and live music.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door
