Benefit for Mark Hawes

Mark Hawes, 18, of Waukon, is paralyzed from a serious spinal injury that happened during baseball practice this spring. He is in the rehabilitation unit at Mayo where he is undergoing intense physical therapy. He plans to attend Iowa State University this fall and your contributions will help with his medical equipment and future living expenses in Ames.

There will be a benefit for Mark on Sunday, August 7th at the Waukon Fairgrounds Pavilion.

There will be food, and raffles, including a 2011 Honda FourTrax Recon from Waukon Powersports.

Monetary donations can be left at Farmers and Merchants Savings Bank. Please make checks payable to: Mark Hawes Benefit.

Cancer Benefit for Tammy Boardman

There will be a benefit poker run/party for Tammy Boardman on Saturday, July 30th at the Krazy L Saloon in La Crosse!

Registration for the poker run starts at 9:30am at the Krazy L and the ride will leave at 10:30am.

After the run, there will be Chinese Raffles, free beer, food and all sorts of other fun at the Krazy L!

Mary Rose Benefit

Mary Rose was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive ductile carcinoma Breast Cancer on April 14, 2011. Her friends and family are holding a benefit to help offset some of the medical costs. Please come and have a good time while helping a local family!

The benefit starts at 3pm on Saturday, July 30th at La Hacienda (former Club Midway) in Independence, WI.

There will be a bake sale, silent auction, dinner and Neon Fever will be providing entertainment throughout the afternoon.

A $6 cover charge includes your meal.

McKenna Marie Memorial Ride

Saturday, July 16th there will be a Poker Run and benefit for McKenna Marie at Sloopy’s Alma Mater.

The Poker Run pre-registration starts at 9am and leaves at 11am. It’s $10 per rider and all forms of transportation are welcome!

The benefit begins after the Poker Run returns around 5pm and will include a silent auction, and music by the Whistle Jacks from 6:30pm until 10pm.

Proceeds from the ride/benefit will go to the CDG Family Network and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
