Jon and his wife, Kristin, live in Pittsville, WI with their 2 year old daughter Colby.

He has been treated at Marshfield Clinic; University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, WI and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is currently being treated at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

There will be a benefit for Jon on Saturday, May 18th at 11:00am at the Pittsville Lions Park

Money will go for a memorial bench in honor of Dianne Coleman.

Dianne’s children, Cody, Cole, Jesse and Jena are natives of Readstown. Before Dianne’s passing she was a strong advocate for a safe environment for her children to play. She was a strong voice and a major contributor to the development of the newly constructed basketball court. We would like to repay her with a memorial bench in her honor.

Easton was born 8 weeks premature on November 16, 2012. On day 8 of life, Easton had an unexplained brain bleed which led to seizures and a buildup of fluid and pressure on his brain. Easton was given a 50% chance of survival and his parents were told he could suffer sever brain damage if he did survive.

Easton was in the Rochester Mayo Clinic NICU for 10 weeks, had 4 brain surgeries, and multiple procedures to drain fluid from around his brain. He finally had a permanent shunt placed to relieve pressure. He has beaten all odds! He survived the procedures and surgeries and a recent test showed normal brain activity for a premature baby of his age.

Help celebrate this miracle at the Benefit for Baby Easton on Saturday May 4th at Wicked Moose from 2pm - 8pm (with live music to follow). Raffles will be held at 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7PM! There will great food, a bake sale, and many activities and games for children.

The 2nd Annual Avery’s Wish is this Sunday, April 28th at Old Hickory Park in La Crescent, MN.

Race registration starts at 10am SHARP and the race begins at Noon.

All Proceeds go to our local CMN Hospitals for those families with children with Juvenile Diabetes

On April 27th, Dahl Ford will be offering free test drives for anyone 18 years and older. In addition, for every test drive Dahl Ford will donate $20 to the Holmen Booster Club.

The Holmen Booster Club provides funding and support for dozens of sports and activities around the community. On average, many activities would not be possible without the booster club. In addition, 90% of all students are affected by the booster club.

Dahl Ford has offered to donate up to $6000 to the booster club. Dahl is allowing one person per household over the age of 18 to test drive one of many cars. The vehicles that will be available are the Focus, Taurus, Escape, Mustang, Fusion, C-MAX, Edge, Fiesta, Explorer, and F-150. All test drives will take 10 minutes at most.

Buck is a retired Town of Shelby Police Officer where he served for 32 years! He & his wife, Sandy also managed the Goose Island Campgrounds for over a decade.  They have two children and six grandchildren.

Mike Lenser was diagnosed with cancer last fall along with congestive heart failure, each condition hindering the other. Mike is also a Vietnam vet who served THREE TOURS in Vietnam!! Let’s give back!!

What:  A unique 2.2 mile run/walk that is shorter than most run/walks and is an untimed, noncompetitive event.  For only $10.00, which includes a t-shirt (while supplies last) it is one of the best-valued run/walks in Wisconsin.  All proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go to the beneficiary, and donations are also accepted.

The Medallion Hunt: The 4th Annual Medallion will be hidden somewhere on the route. Finder of the Medallion will get $50, 2 entries into the run/walk and 2 McFlury run/walk t-shirts! Look for clues on Thursdays on the Onalaska Courier website http://lacrossetribune.com/courierlifenews/ starting on Thursday March 28th.  Clues will also be announced during the OHS “announcements” starting on Monday March 25th.

“Everyone is invited including your leashed pets”.  People are encouraged to pre-register at the Onalaska High School main office daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or seek out a high school student to register for you.  Students are able to register during their lunch hours.  Registration will also be taken on the day of the event from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at the OHS parking lot.

Saturday, March 23rd from 5pm until 11pm at Champions Riverside Resort in Galesville.

Admission is free. A steak dinner will be served from 5-9pm by the G-E-T baseball players. Live music from “Redline Outlaw” from 7-11pm. Plus, games, raffles and more!

All funds raised will go to the Red Hawk’s new baseball field, and both G-E-T High School and Legion baseball programs
